Steps of Cooking

Minced Meat 500 - 600g with fat/suet
  1. 1. Make a mixture of minced meat and green chillies, onion, ginger, garlic, eggs and 3 tablespoon ghee. Knead the mixture well to make a good dough and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

  2. 2. Press the Kababs to make them flat and round and for doing so, wet your hands. Stick a slice of tomato on one side of the kabab and deep fry in hot ghee/oil until crispy bottom.

  3. Balti Kababs:

  4. For this prepration, the following ingredients have to be added, to the above reciepe.
  5. 1 cup of corn/chickpea flour, 1/2 cup finely chopped chives/green onions and 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. All these have to be mixed with the ingredients of Chapli Kababs except oil/ghee. Keep aside for 20-30 minutes. The kababs have to be shaped into 3 inches long cylindrical/oval shapes and deep fried until crispy brown.
Tomato (ripe) 1-2 medium, cut in thin round slices
Onions Medium 3 finely diced & crushed / 250g
Green Chillies 3-4 finely chopped
Ginger 3 tablespoons coarsely grounded
Garlic 3 tablespoons coarsely grounded
Egg(s) 1-2, whisked
Ghee/Oil 3 cups / 500g or deep frying
Rehmat Chapli Kabab Masala one packet (use less for mild hot)
